This is part 2 of last weeks post.
Last week we shared yellow and green and how they can make you feel. Now we will move on to the last three colors.
Blue is considered calming and a serene color. Blue is considered to be beneficial to the mind and body, even in bolder forms. Dulux which is a maker of paints, named their blue shade Denim Drift the color of the year for them. Pantone is another manufacturer of paint, they named an airy shade of blue as as the official color of optimism.
"Blue symbolizes loyalty and trust, Those who choose blue are considered confident and dependable," says Loma. "People have been found to be more productive in a blue room because they are calm and focused. Blue tones work Best in bathrooms, studies, and bedrooms. It's also an ideal color for small rooms."
Tip: Use blue with warm undertones to keep a cold feeling from room.
"Pink is the choice of a loving, kind and generous individual," explains Loma. Pale pink reflects warmth and sensitivity. It is also the color of romance and sensitivity,""Meanwhile bright pink means an optimistic outlook. It is considered to be fun, inspirational and energetic. Pink is great for living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms."
Tip: Pink can make the space feel small. It is Best to use pink in rooms with large windows or spaces that have a lot of light.
The last color would be red. Red is considered to be a bold and confident color. Studies have shown that red raises the heart rate and induces emotion, it is considered idea for energetic homeowners who like to get things done," say's Loma.
How can you decorate with red? "Red demands attention and denotes a lust for life. It symbolises optimism, confidence, and vitality." Loma explains. Red used in living spaces will make a room feel opulent and welcoming. It also creates the perception of warmth, especially during the winter months."
Tip" Red can be intense, so introducing patterns can tone it down without losing the vibrancy.
